Privacy Policy
We collect only what we need to run your order and improve your experience.
This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with. Last updated: August 13, 2026.
What information we collect.
We collect information in three situations: when you provide it directly, automatically as you use the site, and from third-party tools we use to operate the store.
How we use your information.
-
1Fulfill your ordersProcess payments, arrange shipping, send order confirmations and tracking updates, and handle returns or warranty claims.
-
2Improve the site and your experienceAnalyze traffic patterns and purchase behavior to improve product pages, search results, and site performance. Analytics data is aggregated and not tied to individual identities for this purpose.
-
3Send marketing communications (only if you opted in)Promotional emails, SMS messages, and retargeted ads on Google and Meta platforms. We only send marketing to customers who have explicitly opted in. You can opt out at any time.
-
4Comply with legal obligationsMaintain transaction records for tax and accounting purposes via QuickBooks, respond to lawful requests from government authorities, and prevent fraud.
Third parties we share data with.
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the services required to operate our store. Each provider has their own privacy policy governing how they handle data.
Cookies and tracking technologies.
We use cookies and tracking pixels to keep the site functional, understand how it's used, and deliver relevant ads. Here's what's active on this site:
-
Functional cookies Required for the site to work β shopping cart, checkout session, login state, language preference. Cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality.
-
Analytics cookies (Google Analytics / GA4) Track pages visited, time on site, traffic sources, and device type. Data is aggregated and used to improve the site. You can opt out via Google's opt-out tool.
-
Advertising pixels (Google Ads & Meta) Track conversions and enable retargeted ads on Google Search, YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram. Manage preferences via Google Ad Settings or Meta Ad Preferences.
-
Session recordings (Microsoft Clarity) Record how visitors use the site β pages viewed, clicks, and scrolling β so we can find and fix parts that confuse people. Text you type into forms is masked before it leaves your browser, and checkout pages are not recorded at all; we never see passwords or payment details. Clarity sets first-party cookies (_clck, _clsk) to tell repeat visits apart. Microsoft processes this data as described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
-
Live chat storage (this site) The chat keeps a conversation id, a matching key, and the number of the last message you read in your browser's local storage, so your thread is still there when you come back. The messages themselves come back from our chat server. This is storage on your device rather than a cookie: clearing site data for this site removes it, and once we delete a conversation the chat clears these values on its own and starts a fresh thread.
Your rights and choices.
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information. To exercise any of them, contact us at info@cargocontrolcenter.com.
- Access β request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Correction β ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Deletion β request that we delete your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements
- Opt out of marketing β unsubscribe from emails via the link in any message, reply STOP to any SMS, or contact us directly
- Opt out of advertising data sharing β California residents have the right to opt out under CCPA
How we protect your data.
Our store runs on Shopify, which maintains PCI-DSS Level 1 compliance β the highest standard for payment data security. All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections.
We do not store credit card numbers on our servers. Payment data is handled entirely by Shopify Payments and never passes through our systems in unencrypted form.
Changes to this policy.
We may update this Privacy Policy when our practices change or when required by law. The date at the top of this page reflects when it was last revised. Continued use of the site after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
For material changes that affect how we use your data, we will notify active customers by email before the changes take effect.
