About This Product

A tarp wears out from the top down. The load rubs against the roof panel on every mile of rough road, while the sides mostly just hang there catching wind. So this one puts 18oz vinyl where the abrasion happens and 14oz down the sides where it does not.

The result is a tarp that lasts like an 18oz on the surface that matters, without carrying 18oz of fabric everywhere. That is the theory, and on steel and mixed freight it holds up year after year.

Know what you are picking up. At 100.8 lbs this is the heaviest tarp we sell, and the RipStop in the same size weighs 76 lbs. Twenty-five pounds is a real difference at the end of a long day, and lighter tarps also cost less to ship, since carriers price by weight. If your freight does not chew through vinyl, take the RipStop instead. If it does, this is the tarp that survives it.

Key Features

18oz Where It Rubs
The top panel takes the abrasion, so that is where the thick vinyl goes.
14oz Down the Sides
The sides hang and catch wind. They do not need 18oz, so they do not carry it.
3 Rows of D-Rings
Box-stitched onto seatbelt webbing. Bungee S-hooks clip here and run to your rub rail.
100.8 lbs
Our heaviest tarp. The RipStop covers the same load 25 lbs lighter.

Best For

Load Type
Steel and mixed freight that abrades the top panel of a tarp.
Not Ideal For
Clean lumber. The RipStop does that job 25 lbs lighter and ships cheaper.
Trailer Type
Flatbed and step deck, loads up to 8 ft high.
Safety Tip

Tarp dimensions may vary ±2% or ±6 inches from listed size — this is normal manufacturing tolerance, not a defect.
