What A Dunnage Rack Is For
Dunnage is the hardwood you set under and between steel freight to support and position the load. A 4x4 goes under a coil or along a length of pipe, and paired with coil racks it builds the cradle a steel coil sits in. We stock the 4x4x8 hardwood boards and the aluminum racks that carry your spares on the trailer rail, sold in left-and-right pairs cut for the standard flatbed rail or the Reitnouer rail. A rack carries spare blocking only. It has no rated working load limit, so never run a strap or chain to it as an anchor.
