About This Product

Most drivers buy a smoke tarp for the nose of the load, to keep exhaust soot, road grit and spray off freight that a lumber tarp does not reach. It does that job. The ones who own it keep it for two other reasons.

Your load runs a few feet longer than your 4 ft tarp covers. Without this, you drag out a second 27 ft tarp, unroll it, and fold it back up at the delivery, all to cover four feet of lumber. Or you have a stepped load, your two main tarps will not overlap, and nothing bridges the gap.

This tarp saves you from both. It weighs 32.4 lbs, and one person spreads it and folds it in a couple of minutes.

The fabric is 18 oz vinyl, the heaviest we stock. The front of the load takes the worst of what comes off the road, so that is where thick material earns its weight. On a tarp this size you get that toughness without a lumber tarp's bulk.

Ours also carries four rows of D-rings, one along every side, not the single row most suppliers stitch in. You pull it tight from whichever edge the load gives you.

Key Features

18oz Vinyl, Our Heaviest
The thickest vinyl we stock. The nose of the load takes the soot, grit and spray, so that is where it pays off.
4 Rows of D-Rings
One along every side. Most suppliers stitch in a single row, so you can only pull from one edge.
Saves You a Second Big Tarp
Covers the last few feet of a long load instead of unrolling another 27 ft tarp.
Bridges Two Tarps
On a stepped load where your main tarps will not overlap, this closes the gap.

Best For

Front of the Load
Keeps exhaust soot, road grit and spray off freight a lumber tarp does not reach.
The Spare
Covers the odd few feet a full-size tarp misses, without unrolling a second one.
Stepped Loads
Bridges the gap where two main tarps cannot be overlapped properly.
Safety Tip

Tarp dimensions may vary 2% or up to 6 inches from the listed size. That is normal manufacturing tolerance, not a defect. The D-rings and grommets are there for bungee S-hooks only: run a winch strap or a chain through them and you will tear the tarp. Chains and straps secure the load, this tarp covers it.
