A 2-inch ratchet strap with double wire hooks instead of flat hooks. The 90-degree wire hooks clip into D-rings, O-rings, tie-down plates, and stake pockets, so you can anchor to hardware where a flat hook has nothing to catch. Hook both ends, run the webbing over the load, and crank the ratchet tight at a 3,333 lb Working Load Limit.
Pick the wire hook when your trailer has D-rings or recessed anchor points rather than an open rub rail. The polyester holds tension under road vibration instead of stretching like nylon. Inspect the webbing and hooks before every trip and replace the strap if the webbing is cut or frayed or a hook is bent or opened up, since a straightened hook can slip loose under load.
