Tarp bungee straps hold a flatbed tarp flat against the load so it cannot lift and tear at highway speed. These 21in straps are moulded from 100% EPDM rubber, which stays flexible in the cold and does not go brittle under UV the way natural rubber does. Each one carries a galvanized steel S-hook at both ends. Sold in a pack of 10, enough to redo a worn run along one tarp edge.
Drivers ask for these by four different names: tarp bungees, rubber tarp straps, bungee cords for tarps, or just tarp straps. All four mean this strap.

Hook one end into a tarp D-ring or grommet and the other into the rub rail or a stake pocket, then work along the edge. Turn the hook so its tip points inward and it cannot punch the vinyl when the strap snaps back. Bungee straps carry no working load limit and no DOT rating: they hold the tarp down, and the load underneath is secured with rated straps or chain.
