About This Product
A coil rack, also called a coil chock or coil bunk, sits under a steel coil to keep it from rolling or shifting during transport. This one runs 33" long and 2.7" wide, built from 10-gauge galvanized steel for the strength to carry the weight of a loaded coil without bending or buckling underneath it. Galvanized coating holds up to weather exposure better than bare steel, since these racks live outside on a flatbed deck for the life of the trailer.
The half-saddle design pairs with a wood beam or coil lumber underneath to create a narrower, snugger platform under the coil, so it sits stable rather than free-rolling on a flat deck. Set racks at both ends of the coil, and add chain across the top for real securement. The rack holds the coil's position; it doesn't restrain it against road forces on its own. Order coil lumber alongside it if you don't already run beams under your coils.

Best For
A coil rack positions the coil. It does not restrain it. Always add chain across the top of the coil for actual securement before the trailer moves.
