Deer Guard for Freightliner Cascadia (2018+) — Black PVC Coated Steel

This deer guard fits the Freightliner Cascadia from 2018 on, the previous body and the new fifth-generation one, with or without sensors. The center hoop and three crossbars sit in front of the grille. The side wings wrap around the headlights and the corners of the bumper, back toward the front wheels, so a hit from the side meets the guard before the headlight or the bumper.

The frame is steel tube with a 3 mm wall, about 1/8". The factory dips it in black PVC that sets about 1/8" thick and feels like rubber, so stone chips and road salt hit the coating before they reach the steel. Each side wing bolts to the center frame with clamps. If one gets bent, you replace that wing and keep the rest of the guard. The guard hinges on its two mounting posts and locks with a latch handle on each one, so you tilt it forward to open the hood.

Check your body before you order. Each Cascadia body takes its own bracket set, and the guard comes without brackets: order the set for your truck with it. Lifting the guard onto the brackets takes two people.

A deer guard takes the hit from a deer or road debris in place of the grille and headlights. It does not protect the cab in a collision or a rollover.
