About This Product

A pipe stake drops into a flatbed's stake pocket to build a containment wall along the trailer edge, holding pipe, lumber, or loose freight in from rolling off during transit. This one runs 4'6" tall, built from 9-gauge steel with a 2.375" outer diameter, and ends in a 6" flattened bottom sized for stake pockets with at least a 3" x 1.5" inside opening. At 15 lbs each, one driver can set and pull stakes solo without needing a second set of hands.

Pipe stakes alone don't secure a load. Pair them with chain and a ratchet binder run across the top of the stakes or through the load to keep everything locked down for the drive. Check pocket dimensions before ordering, since stake pockets vary slightly between trailer builds, and a stake that doesn't seat fully in the pocket won't hold once the load starts shifting on the road.
